Side Seal Bag Making Machines
One Side Seal Platform, Eleven Bag Types
Every side seal bag making machine in the PAL range is built on the same SWC-V platform: sealing and cutting happen in one stroke, and the finished bag is drawn out by a rocking take-out belt conveyor. What changes between models is the module bolted onto that base — a hanging-bag system on the header bag machine, a pocket sealer and intermittent glue applicator on the courier bag machine, a heat-press welding station on the patch handle and soft loop shopping bag models.
The standard SWC-V side sealer covers general PE, OPP, CPP and laminated film bags; from there the series branches into twin-line deli bags, diaper and sanitary bags, wave-top beverage bags, wicketed bags for auto-filling lines, and multi-line heat-slitting production. Because the frame and control system stay the same across the range, your operators learn one interface and your spare parts cover the whole floor.

Handle-attachment models cap at 110 strokes/min and 0.15 mm film — the heat-press welding cycle sets the pace. Core SWC-V models reach 180 strokes/min at 0.2 mm.
Standard features & optional devices
Standard on every model: German "Sick" photocell registration for accurate print positioning; inverter-controlled feeding synchronised to main machine speed; socket-type IC circuit control so a faulty board is swapped rather than rewired; auto-stop on abnormal temperature, no material feed, or three consecutive photocell misses; LCD touch panel; auxiliary air-blown outfeed; and 13-type folding, gusseting and slitting formed on the film passage guides.
- Continuous ultrasonic welding — circular mould welding with auto-frequency matching.
- Pneumatic heat-slitting — slits and seals two layers during feed; one jumbo roll becomes several off a single print registry.
- Horizontal sealing — up-down unit for courier pockets and fold-mouth sealing.
- Auxiliary sealing — targeted heat-press at the gusset gap between 4-layer and 2-layer sections.
- Hole punches — kidney, round, notch, butterfly and custom shapes.
- Glue-spray device — for easy-open bags, self-adhesive tape and bag-on-roll rewinding.
- Auxiliary heated pressor — creases CPP and BOPP into a definite fold line.
- Velvet-covered rollers — prevent scratch marks on transparent PP film.
Which films can these machines run?
OPP, CPP, PE and laminated films from 0.012 mm to 0.2 mm on the core SWC-V models, and up to 0.15 mm on the patch handle and soft loop models. For transparent PP, we recommend the velvet-covered roller option to prevent scratching as the film travels through the machine.
Why do the handle models run slower than the standard side sealers?
Patch handle and soft loop bags require a separate film to be fed, cut and heat-press welded against the bag body on every cycle. That welding dwell time caps the PHFA-V and SLFA-V at 110 strokes per minute, against 180 on the core SWC-V line. If you need both handle types without buying two machines, the all-function SWPFA-V runs patch handle and soft loop on one frame.
Do I need the wicketer, or is a standard collection table enough?
The 32SWKFA-V wicketer uses rotating and suction devices to collect finished bags into blocked piles — which is what downstream auto-packaging and auto-filling equipment requires. If bags are packed manually or in loose counts, the standard conveyor or collection table is sufficient. Note the wicketer model starts at a 10" minimum bag width.
